Honoring Heartland
We will soon embark on our first tour since the accident that claimed the lives of Calvin, Karolina, and Shane, three incredible peacemakers. We speak of them often with our new class of Nomads and interns to make sure their memories and the stories of the incredible people they met carry on. This fall, we look forward to seeing the groundwork they laid continue to grow and flourish as we work toward Liberty in North Korea.
There will never be another team quite like Calvin, Karolina, and Shane’s. To honor their legacy, we’ve decided to retire the Heartland name and have added decals with their initials to our vans. The Heartland Nomads will always be a constant source of inspiration as we continue the work they so passionately believed in.
