Hmm.. Most successful fundraiser? Here at the Centennial High School Rescue Team in Howard County, Maryland, it would definitely be the school-wide talent show we started last February. We had an emcee, judges, performers, concessions, and, of course, a time for LiNK videos. About a month before the show, we put up fliers and a school TV commercial for auditions to perform for the event. We charged $3 per ticket for the show, and with the help of parent volunteers, we sold concessions. One really interesting thing I think we did was that we had an Audience Choice prize; upon purchasing a ticket, audience members received one vote but could pay for additional votes. A lot of funds that night came from donations from parents interested in supporting the cause! In total, we raised about $600 from this event. Our goal for this year’s talent show is to raise at least $1000. One really important thing we forgot to do though: take pictures! —Duo, Brian, Jose, Leina, Miguel, Job
Our most successful event was a donation based bake sale. We raised almost $200 in just one day! A donation based bake sale is basically allowing people to donate any amount for a treat. It can be as small as 5 cents or as big as $50! It works really well on our campus. Mary from Kennesaw State
Hi! For my team, our most successful fundraiser was actually a date auction in February. Also, going door to door in neighborhoods offering bags of 4 or so cookies for a donation amount of their choice was surprising super successful as well. Lots of people gave $20 and did not even take any cookies!!! – Tori LaBirt from Penn State
