WELCOME TO THE TEAM

You’re an official Rescue Team! That’s awesome. Now let’s start your first meeting. The purpose of this meeting will be for your team to get to know its members. Gather contact information, talk about goals, and start brainstorming.

STEP 3 | INTRODUCE YOURSELVES

Get to know your fellow Rescue Team members!

Ask fun questions or play an icebreaker game to make everyone feel welcome.

STEP 4 | ROLES

Establish team roles among your members

Dividing up responsibilities and forming committees gives everyone an opportunity to contribute to the success of your team.

STEP 5 | LEARN

Rescue Team members must know how to effectively talk about LiNK

It is important that every member of your Rescue Team can speak about LiNK’s work accurately. Have your members go over these key phrases and information points so you will be able to answer questions about what LiNK does when you start fundraising.

WHY WE’RE HERE:

The North Korean people are overcoming one of the greatest challenges facing humanity today.

FOUR AREAS OF FOCUS:

Refugee Rescues, Resettlement Assistance, Empowerment Programs, and Changing the Narrative.

WHAT IS LIBERTY IN NORTH KOREA:

Liberty in North Korea is a global movement of people that believe in and work alongside the North Korean people to accelerate change.

WE ARE A RESCUE TEAM:

We are at the forefront of the grassroots movement standing alongside the North Korean people. 100% of what we raise directly funds refugee work.

STEP 6 | ACCOMPLISHMENTS

You are about to change lives!

Your team is going to make a huge difference in the lives of North Korean refugees. Here are a few numbers that point to the impact Rescue Teams make!

STEP 7 | BRAINSTORM

Think of some ideas!

Now that your team knows what LiNK does, brainstorm ideas about how to become the most effective team on your campus or in your community. Think of fundraising ideas and how to change the narrative on North Korea in a fun and compelling way.

Also talk about goals that your team has. For example: “Are we going to raise $3,000 or $12,000 this year?” and “How many events are we going to host?”

If you get stuck, download the A-Z Fundraising guide for more ideas!

STEP 8 | TAKE ACTION

Start your team’s Rescue Campaign

A Rescue Campaign is a great way to track your team’s goal progress and to get every member actively involved in the process. You can share this with all of your friends and family and engage people outside of your direct community.

Delegate a member to start this task.
